Welcome to the Best Wings in San Diego voted by San Diegans. You will never need to wing it again! From hot wings to cool spots, this local’s guide knows best.

In our SanDiegoHumor Instagram stories, we asked our followers where their favorite wing spot is in San Diego. We had over 800 votes, and after aggregating all of the submissions… we have the results for the top place for the best wings in San Diego!

Dirty Birds (131 Votes)

Dirty Birds may have been ranked as one of the Best Wings in America by Yahoo Sports and TheDailyMeal.com, but it’s #1 by our followers. With 5 SD locations, over 37 flavors of sauces, and half off Bone In Wings during Happy Hour, Dirty Birds is here to serve.

There are multiple Dirty Bird locations in San Diego which may or may not have tipped the feathers in their direction.

Epic Wings ‘N Things (77 Votes)

Epic Wings has taken flight! Formerly known as Wings N’ Things, they opened its first location in San Diego, California in 1982. Now a franchise with a (wing) span of 30 locations in 4 states, Epic Wings has earned their spot on our Best Wings of San Diego list.

San Diego locations:

OB Noodle House (58 Votes)

📍 2218 Cable St, San Diego, California 92107

📍 4993 Niagara Ave (Between Cable and Bacon), San Diego, California 92107

Our voters agree with Guy Fieri who called the food at OB Noodle House “unbelievable,” in a good way! Check out that clip from the Food Network.

Our pick is the Spicy Garlic Wings. These jumbo premium mid-joint chicken wings are marinated with garlic and spices; served on a bed of lettuce, onions and ranch dressing. You can also request it less spicy if that’s more your style.

Bub’s at the Ballpark (47 Votes)

📍 715 J St, San Diego, CA 92101

Right in the shadow of Petco Park, Bub’s at the Ballpark captures the spirit of the game like nowhere else. It is a highlight on our Best Sports Bars in San Diego and our readers love it enough to land it on our Best Wings of San Diego list!

Work hard, WING harder! As of July 2024, they are serving up BOGO Wings Wednesday’s from 3pm-Close with an epic night of Sunset Trivia starting at 7pm.

Royal Mandarin (42 Votes)

📍 1132 E Plaza Blvd #205, National City, CA 91950

The underdog, Royal Mandarin, a Chinese restaurant in National City secured itself a spot on our list. It’s been around for over 40 years and continues to impress.

A wing favorite is the salt and pepper chicken wings. This classic choice can be paired with sauce if you are looking for a little extra. BUT give it a try without dipping it first! It has been known to surprise wing enthusiasts.

Churchill’s Pub & Grille (27 Votes)

📍 887 West San Marcos Blvd, San Marcos, CA 92069

Representing North County, Churchill’s Pub and Grille is coming THROUGH with their wings. They have a variety of BBQ options – Spicy, Guinness, and Blackberry for starters. Tey bring the heat on their Ivan’s Revenge wings. Not sure what was done to Ivan, but these are S-P-I-C-Y! Don’t say we didn’t warn you.

Regal Beagle (25 Votes)

📍 3659 India St, San Diego, CA 92103

The Regal Beagle makes the cut with their 10 amazing sauces along with freshly made in-house ranch and blue cheeses. Okay, but really what’s better- homemade ranch or spicy wings?

As an added reason to check it out, this Mission Hills spot also has a fine selection of craft beer and a complete menu of artisan sausage. Wings or woofs, you decide.

Sandbox (24 Votes)

📍 1466 Garnet Ave, San Diego, CA 92109

Rounding out the Best Wings in San Diego is Sandbox. While this is the last choice on our list, it is a top pick for Sloan “Caveman” Clymer which tells you something. I would not want to go into battle with that dude over best wings.

Located on Garnet, it’s in the heart of PB. Come with the wings, made Boston style, and stay all night when you get a fishbowl to go with it. If you’re planning to spend the day in PB we got you covered with the Top things to do in Pacific Beach.
