This weekend in San Diego is serving up a little something for everyone — and honestly, it’s almost too much. Fortune Feimster is bringing her biscuit-fueled comedy tour to the Civic Theatre, the San Diego Symphony is going full Brahms at Jacobs Music Center, and City Ballet is unleashing Gershwin at the Balboa Theatre. On the sportier side, the Gulls have a two-game home stand and the Hot Chocolate Run finishes at Petco Park with literal fondue fountains. Oh, and the Flower Fields just opened. Your weekend excuses just ran out.

Fortune Feimster: Takin’ Care of Biscuits Comedy Tour
Saturday, March 7 — San Diego Civic Theatre
Fortune Feimster has three Netflix specials, a podcast with Tig Notaro, and a Disney sequel in the pipeline — and she’s spending her Saturday night making San Diego laugh. William Montgomery
Friday–Saturday, March 6–7 — The American Comedy Co.
If you know Kill Tony, you know William Montgomery. The wildcard comedian who became a fan favorite for his unhinged one-minute sets is doing full headlining shows at American Comedy Co. with 7pm and 9pm sets both nights. This is stand-up at its most unpredictable — bring friends who can handle it.
Concerts
Camila: Regresa Tour
Friday, March 6 at 8pm — San Diego Civic Theatre
Latin pop powerhouse Camila is back with their original lineup — Mario Domm, Pablo Hurtado, and Samo — reunited for the first time in years. Expect to hear “Abrázame,” “Mientes,” “Todo Cambió,” and songs from their reunion album “Regresa.” If you grew up on these ballads, this is the Friday night show you didn’t know you needed.

San Diego Symphony: Brahms Festival
Saturday, March 7 — Jacobs Music Center
Music Director Rafael Payare leads the symphony through Brahms’ Symphony No. 3 and Violin Concerto with virtuoso Leonidas Kavakos on violin. City Ballet of San Diego: Rhapsody in Blue
Saturday, March 7 at 8pm & Sunday, March 8 at 2pm — Balboa Theatre

A pre-show lecture from Artistic Director Steven Wistrich starts 45 minutes before curtain if you like your ballet with context.
March First Friday Art Walk – La Jolla
Friday, March 6, 4–7pm — La Jolla Village

Theater
Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812
Friday, March 6 at 7pm & Saturday, March 7 at 7pm & Sunday, March 8 at 3pm — Theater for Young Professionals
This electropop opera based on a 70-page slice of War and Peace is one of the most inventive musicals to come out of Broadway in years. TYP San Diego’s intimate production runs all weekend, so you’ve got three chances to catch it. If you missed it on Broadway, this might be even better up close.
The Maltese Falcon
Friday, March 6 at 2pm — North Coast Repertory Theatre, Solana Beach
Dashiell Hammett’s hard-boiled detective classic gets the stage treatment at North Coast Rep. Sam Spade, a missing statuette, and enough double-crosses to fill a noir marathon. Perfect for a Friday afternoon matinee if you’re looking to feel like a cultured detective.
MCT’s Cinderella
Saturday, March 7 at 3pm — Poway Center for the Performing Arts
A family-friendly Cinderella performed by young actors at the Poway Center. If you’ve got kids who need a dose of fairy tale magic (or adults who do, no judgment), this is a sweet Saturday afternoon option.
Sports & Fitness
SDSU Aztecs Basketball vs. UNLV
Friday, March 6 at 7pm — Viejas Arena
The Aztecs host UNLV in a conference matchup at Viejas Arena. College basketball atmosphere at its finest — the student section alone is worth the price of admission. Airing on CBS Sports Network if you can’t make it in person.
San Diego Gulls vs. Rockford IceHogs
Friday, March 6 at 7pm & Saturday, March 7 at 6pm — Pechanga Arena
Two chances to watch the Gulls throw down at Pechanga Arena this weekend. AHL hockey is the best bang-for-your-buck live sports experience in San Diego — fast, physical, and you’re close enough to hear the chirps. Friday and Saturday nights, grab a beer and enjoy the chaos.
Skechers Hot Chocolate 15K/10K/5K
Sunday, March 8 — Petco Park
Run through Balboa Park and East Village, then cross the finish line at Petco Park where chocolate fondue fountains, dippables, and hot cocoa await. Every finisher gets a Skechers jacket, a medal, and a mug of melted chocolate — which honestly makes this more of a dessert event that happens to involve running. 5K, 10K, and 15K distances available.
Food & Drink
SeaWorld Seven Seas Craft Beer & Food Festival
Ongoing through April 26 — SeaWorld San Diego
SeaWorld’s annual food festival is in full swing with local craft brews, international cuisine, and sustainable ingredients. It’s included with park admission, so you can pair your roller coasters with craft IPAs and ceviche. Running every weekend through late April.
San Diego Sustainable Night Market
Friday, March 6, 5–9pm — AleSmith Brewing Company
An eco-friendly night market at one of San Diego’s best breweries? Yes please. Local vendors, sustainable goods, food options, and AleSmith’s award-winning beers on tap. A solid way to kick off Friday night, especially if your weekend plans start with “let’s just grab a beer and see what happens.”

Saturday, March 7, 11am–3pm — Hourglass Field, Miramar College

Elephant Valley at SD Zoo Safari Park (Grand Opening Weekend!)
Now open — San Diego Zoo Safari Park, Escondido

Elephant Valley is a massive new habitat where you can watch African elephants roam a savanna-style landscape, plus a two-story restaurant with views of the watering hole. This is a once-in-a-generation opening — perfect excuse to hit the Safari Park this weekend.
San Diego Festival of Science & Engineering
Saturday, March 7, 10am–5pm — Petco Park (FREE)
The biggest free STEM event in San Diego takes over Petco Park with hands-on experiments, robotics demos, and enough science to make your kids forget they’re learning. No tickets or registration needed — just show up. This is genuinely one of the best free family events of the year.
The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch
Open daily through May 10 — Carlsbad
The Flower Fields just opened for the season and nearly 50 acres of Giant Tecolote Ranunculus flowers are starting to bloom. It’s one of those quintessential San Diego spring experiences that’s worth the drive to Carlsbad — especially in early March before the crowds really hit. Bring a camera, wear sunscreen, and prepare for the most Instagram-worthy afternoon of your month.
