Looking for where to go on 4th of July in San Diego? We got you covered. Whether you’re looking for an all day spot to set your beach chair or an all day party, there is something for you and your crew during the San Diego 4th of July 2024.

Coronado 7 AM – 10 PM

As a military town, Coronado goes BIG for the fourth of July. They get started at 7AM with a 12K (IE 7.4 miles, very clever) and a 5k. The 75th (BFD) Annual Independence Day Parade will happen from 10 AM to 12 PM. They have military demonstrations, Navy frog leaps, concerts in the park (learn more about that here) and of course fireworks. Check out the full schedule. Parking is a nightmare, but if you can survive the Del Mar Fair traffic, you’ll be able to handle it.

📍 Coronado, CA 92118

Crushed Bar 10 AM – 8 PM

Crushed is crushing it once again. They are bringing back their American mimosa flights for Independence Day 2024. These red, white and blue mimosas can be paired with daddycakes to pay homage to our founding fathers. Or, go straight up sugar coma with their gimme s’more pancakes. Either way you’ll start the fourth off on the right foot. Double good news – Crushed made our list of Best Dog Friendly Restaurants in San Diego. Enjoy the morning with your furry bestie before you play the day away.

Del Mar Fair

So apparently it’s actually called the San Diego Fair, but no one here would actually call it that. It’s the Del Mar Fair, I don’t care what they say. What we can agree on is there’s no better place to view the red, white and BOOM than from the Fair’s Grandstand.

Avoid the crowds and secure your seat for the Fireworks Spectacular, the celebration of the United States of America and a favorite tradition at the San Diego County Fair Del Mar Fair.
